Drawing on his outstanding expertise in banking, financial-markets and regulatory law, Markus advises national and international financial institutions and companies on structured financings, capital-markets transactions and complex compliance mandates. Clients also benefit from his extensive experience in corporate and corporate-finance matters, as well as his long track record in high-profile litigation and supervisory investigations.
International legal directories have ranked him for years in the top tiers for Banking and Capital Markets, and Chambers Global names him among the field’s “leading individuals.” Since the 1990s he has served as the Austrian correspondent of the Journal of International Banking Law and Regulation, and from 2008 to 2015 he was a member of the Vienna Bar Association’s committee.
